Case Removal on Acer Aspire XC mini PC.

I have an Acer Aspire XC mini of (I think it’s a 1660G specifically. I’d like to replace some of the integral hardware, but to do so need to get the case disassembled.

The SSD and most of the internal connectors are blocked by the DVD drive in the case. Getting the main side panel off is easy enough, but it looks like the front plastic cover is stuck on a clip also blocked by the DVD drive, and the top/bottom/side of the case are a single sheet of metal, and I can’t find any fasteners that would let me take the other sides off.

am I missing something, is there a hidden set of screws somewhere, or some trick to getting the front cover off?

See this "Acer Aspire XC-1660G Teardown" as this desktop has a proprietary mobo and psu, this teardown shows exactly how to pull the case apart and get to the M.2 SSDS. I suggest that you also do the Crucial System Scan and increase your ram for this PC as this scan will also tell you the max and best compatible ram for your laptop.
