AN515-44 USB port not working properly

When I plug a mouse or GamePad device into the USB port, it stops seeing USB 2.0 devices after a while. I have this problem only on one USB port. It works fine when I plug the mouse and GamePad into other USB ports.

It fixes itself when the USB port is not used for a while. It doesn't cause any problems when I plug my USB flash drives into this USB port. The problem starts when I plug in the mouse and GamePad devices. It only reads USB 3.0 devices when the problem started.

Before the problem started, while playing CS:GO with the GamePad device plugged in, USB device plugging and unplugging sounds started coming and then the problem started. I wasn't playing with CS:GO GamaPad, it just stuck on my computer.

When the problem started, my bootable USB device was not showing up in the BIOS.

Solutions I tried;
- I reinstalled Windows.
- I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the USB from device manager.

BIOS Version: V1.04
OS: Windows 10 21H2 19044.1766

    If the USB devices are not USB3.2 certified, they may not work properly in a USB3.2 port especially gen2. Your laptop should have two gen1 and one gen2 with power off charging.

    What you said has nothing to do with my problem. The USB port was working fine for 9 months.

    I have no problem with USB port GEN 1 and GEN 2 port. There are 2 GEN 1 USB ports, one of them started giving trouble.

    Two possibilities if it's intermittent. The contacts inside the port need to be gently cleaned with a squashed q-tip swab moistened with denatured alcohol. Or the USB connectors on the ribbon cable from the twin gen1 card to the mainboard need to be reseated a few times to help clean their contacts. If neither of those solves the problem, new io boards for your model are less than $20usd.

    My product has a warranty. Does the service provide replacement with a new card? What should I tell the service to fix this problem?

    Depending on your location, you might void the warranty if you break any tamper seals over screws or between cover seams. So you can try the q-tip thing but don't probe much deeper.

    If no joy, contact warranty repair service and simply tell them the twin USB ports on the one side were working fine for 9 months, then one of them started giving you trouble. No more,  No less.

    They're probably gonna give you the same line I gave you on the devices being USB 3.2 certified. Then they may suggest doing a factory reset, uninstall Device Manager USB controllers (then re-boot) and/or check for an errant Windows update Control Panel  restore point with a date stamp about when the port started giving you trouble. You can try all this stuff yourself before you call them if you want. Because it's only one port involved on the same USB board, it's more likely a hardware problem or filthy contacts.

    Be forewarned that if you're in the US or CA, warranty repair service will likely involve laptop shipping charges since replacement parts usually aren't covered and replaced until the service can actually test the whole machine including the internal drive with all your personal stuff on it.  Accordingly. you should also back up everything before you send the machine because it might come back in a wiped-clean factory fresh out of the box Windows condition. Shipping charges will often far exceed the cost of a $20 part like the USB board. If it was mine, I'd probably avoid warranty service because for me this issue would be more of an inconvenient annoyance than it is a seriously disabling problem

    Problem detected on my motherboard. After replacing it with a new motherboard, my problem went away.
