Implications of using an Aspire 5 as a Desktop

I have had laptops for yonks (including the original tiny IBMThinkPad) and always used them as a desktop. No battery installed and just plugged into the wall. Never had any problems.

Now I just purchased an Aspire 5 with a built in battery (drat) and wonder if I can keep the unit  permanently plugged into the wall socket without
ruining the notebook.

Thanks All!

    Hi,
I have been using my Nitro 5 continuously connected to wall socket since 2020 and I have no problems, previously I have used an Aspire laptop for more than 6 years on AC power without removing the battery, didn't have any issues at all, I think modern batteries have an in-built device to stop charging once they reach 100% charge.
