Hi everyone

I have a Nitro 515-54 and it used for one year, it's like a few weeks ago I start heard some noise from my laptop with a little bit of shock, I didn't realize that's come from my CPU fan, until yesterday I Opened the backside and I try to clean my fan, I touched one of them and that fan doesn't move, it's like a bearing without lubricating oil, you push it, it will stop very quickly after your hand left it, I  opened the shell of the fan, there is no dirt in there, I put everything back and start my system, turn my fan to the highest speed, my GPU fan can running to 6000RPM, but my CPU fan only can arrive like 3500RPM with fluctuates up and down and sounds really big.

And another thing is when the system starts, the CPU fan only can run with about 200RPM, I put my ear on the keyboard I think the fan keeps turn on and turn off like a glitch, is this a huge problem? should I send it somewhere or just let it be?

The cpu/gpu fan should not be faulty after 12 months, a cpu fan at idle should be around 1500rpm and at max 5000rpm on NS, your 2000rpm at start is a bit high but not critical (depends on room temps?) but and if the cpu fan is not working then change the fan (btw, its best to change both fans to have the same fans) and also repaste with a high quality paste and thermal pads so that the cooling components is completely serviced and working 100%. Also you must have been very unlucky that an inferior quality fan was fitted to your Nitro 5. You can buy these fans on eBay for about US $28.00 for both or Amazon so look at the nearest OEM quality to the fans that you have e.g. brand and part numbers fans and buy those, don't buy cheal nasty fans that come from you know where, as saving on cost always sacrifices quality!

You can try cleaning the fan shaft and the motor bearing with a small soft brush. Also, you can put a bit of fan oil or bearing grease in the bearing to lubricate it. If that doesn't work, you can order a separate CPU fan.

y'all saved my laptop, last time I didn't remove my fan from the shall, because I thought the fans are connected to the wire, just now I opened my laptop shell again and I add new thermal paste and removed the fan, My CPU fan has no inertia, you push it, it won't keep running after your hand left it, BUT now I switch the position of my GPU and CPU fan, they both working perfect, now they can run with 6000RPM speed(i won't turn it so fast unless I have to). I will buy the new fans if they have glitches again I guess

I solved it by following the step of this video, I opened the shell but I didn't add new bearing grease because when opened it I can see there is enough of them, but my CPU was like 'stuck with something', it has no inertia, now I switch the position of them, they start working again, thank yall and this community
