Why does the B226HQL sit sideways?

When fully correctly locked with the metal tabs and lock arrows lined up in the base and arm, it sits sideways as shown in my pic, rather than forward facing, as shown in manual. I wanted to share feedback - this is odd- and I wonder if it’s made to specifically fit into a corner desk? or is there a way to straighten it so it sits forward? Thank you

Lay the monitor on its back. Remove the base. There should be 3 or 4 phillips head screws near the center of the circular plate that base mounts on. On some models, you don't even need to remove the base as the screws are accessible through a base hole. Loosen but don't  remove those screws. You will then be able to adjust the plate to the center position between the 30-45 angle degree end stops. Tighten the screws and affix the base again.
