strange resume from sleep mode on Predator Helios 300

I noticed a strange behavior when resuming my Predator Helios 300 from sleep mode

If I close the lid it goes into sleep mode and the right LED blinks orange.  If I open the lid within a few minutes it quickly resumes and the Windows 11 Desktop appears

But if I want a longer period, 30min, an hour maybe, I notice the right LED is off and to resume the Windows Desktop I have to press the power button for a few seconds.
Is this normal?

Yes, I understood. The button app includes the lid closure behavior under the term 'when I close the lid'. If the blinking orange power LED turns off, then the laptop has either shutdown or gone into hibernation. If the lid behavior is set to sleep as shown below, and the LED is still turning off or hibernating, then we must look into other power settings to find out what's triggering this.

Open Control Panel. Search 'button'. Click 'change what the power buttons do' in left pane. In the box that pops up, all settings should be set to sleep, none to hibernate or turn off. Also click change settings that are  currently unavailable. UNcheck boxes for fast startup and hibernate.

@tvr4 check the duration of the Hibernate after in control panel.
You can increase it to 60min or 180min for on battery and plugged in.

I don't see any of these settings in Windows 11.  There is no control panel in the app list.
The settings app does have a power and battery option but there is no hibernate setting

Press WIN+R. Enter 'control'. What do you see?

This is known as Control Panel. In the search icon spyglass in upper right corner, enter 'button'. Click 'change what the power buttons do' in left pane. In the box that pops up, all settings should be set to sleep, none to hibernate or none to turn off. Also click change settings that are  currently unavailable. UNcheck boxes for fast startup and hibernate.

There seems to be a misunderstanding that I am looking to change the button behavior.  This is NOT what the problem is.
I apologize for not explaining better.

    The problem is as follows
    1) close lid
    2) laptop goes into sleep mode
    3) rear right LED blinks orange
    4) wait extended time, hours
    5) rear right LED is off
    6) open lid
      a) issue laptop does not resume to desktop
      b) in order to resume to desktop press power button for a second or two

Why does the laptop go into the deep sleep mode?

Sorry typo.  I meant I will check that setting when I am at the laptop after work

I think you all helped find the setting causing the deep sleep condition.  It appears that it is set to hibernate after 720 minutes.
Is there a negative to changing this ?

Mine is all set to never hibernate. Also make sure the lid closure in power button app is set to sleep also, not to hibernate.

@tvr4 Hibernate just takes more time to boot up. But this will keep all your work when you turn on the laptop and save the battery than using sleeps especially when you don't use the laptop for a long time.

Very true.  That "hibernate after" setting worked perfectly
    Thank you
