Hey Folks,
Have my own single man consulting business
Bought
And a HP NVME SSD
Occasionally, the laptop freezes and I get a 'no bootable disk error'
Called up tech support, they said that an official ACER SATA SSD will work but my third party vendor is saying that that laptop has a NVME slot, so this SSD should also work.
My work is suffering, any help would be appreciated.

Hi @xforcestriker
You can try to do a BIOS reset. How do I reset my BIOS/UEFI to default settings?- Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds, or until your system shuts completely down.
- Power on the system. Keep on tapping the F2 button continuously to get into the BIOS.
- Press F9 and then Enter to load the default configuration.
- Press F10 and then Enter to save and exit.
How to Restore Windows on my Acer Computer Using Alt + F10 on startupNOTE: Make sure to backup all the data before the reset.- Press and hold the Power key for 5 seconds to power the system off completely.
- Press the Power key to turn on the computer.
- Press the Alt and F10 keys back and forth again and again until you see a blue screen.
- Select Troubleshoot.
- Click Reset your PC.
Hope it will help you in some way.0 -
Yes, most any NVMe drive should work fine, unless there is an issue with the drive itself. What memory module did you put in? I'm assuming you added 4GB to the 4GB onboard so you are running with 8GB total?
