In the above mentioned model, will the entire 8gb of ram come soldered or will it be a combination of 4gb soldered and an additionally installed 4gb stick ? Basically will it have a free slot along with the 8 gb installed ram ? Thanks

    Hi,
This model comes with either 4GB or 8GB onboard memory, so it's difficult to find out before you buy the laptop, if it comes with 4GB you can upgrade it up to 20GB by installing a 16GB module in the empty slot, if it comes with 8GB you can upgrade up to 24GB by installing a 16GB module.
As for the SSD, yes, you can install a 512GB M.2 NVMe SSD.

Depending on the region, this model's mainboard might be equipped with either 0GB, 4GB or 8GB non-replaceable soldered RAM.  Which means your replaceable RAM socket might have 8GB, 4GB or 0GB installed respectively. Accordingly you must remove 11 screws and pry off the base cover to be sure of what you have. In any case, the maximum allowed RAM in the replaceable RAM sockeet is 16GB for a total RAM of either 16GB, or 20GB or 24GB depending on if you have 0GB, 4GB or 8GB soldered RAM.
