You should be able to add up to one 16GB DDR4 sodimm RAM module 2400MHz or faster. You should also be able to install one 2.5" SSD or HDD up to 2TB and one m.2 SATA3 or NVME SSD card also up to 2TB. I recommend crucial.com sodimm ram modules and western digital blues series SSDs for your model.

    >>>would it make any noticeable improvement? and what would that be on operating speed>>>

It already has 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD.

More RAM would only let you load and run more programs, apps & browser instances/tabs at the same time. So you could quickly multi-task and flit from one app or webpage to the next and back again like a busy-bee with an extra short attention span. If it were mine, 8GB would be quite enough for me right now..

Likewise, a bigger and perhaps faster SSD might be useful to an avid videographer, AdobePhotoshopper, AutoDesker or perhaps even a MathCadder who wants to store and quickly retrieve and edit huge files. If it were mine, 512GB SSD would also be quite enough for me right now.

So, to summarize, If it was mine, I wouldn't try to upgrade a thing at this time. It likely won't make a noticeable speed improvement in the things that I do. I'm sorta slow though. But it's not mine. So you have to make the decision based on the things that you do. :)
