I just purchased an Acer Aspire 5 17" laptop.  Two model numbers:  N20c6 and A317-52-595V.  It's running windows 10, an i5 with 8 gigs of memory and an SSD.  I am very discouraged about the machine as I do not find it easy to operate and the user manual leaves a lot to be desired.  The touch pad is one large piece with no left/right keys.  The instruction manual says to go to the lower right "notifications" to make changes to the key pad function.  When I open the notifications there are four blocks:  location, battery saver, (blue tooth) not connected, and night light.  Nothing about changing the key pad.  Yesterday I could not sign on to the computer because it switch to one of my email addresses and asked for a pin.  Unfortunately there was no pin associated with that email address.  I had a line that said "forgot your pin, create a new pin".  Unfortunately this line was not an active link.  I finally held the on/off button until the computer shut down and was able to restart the computer.  The switch to the email address signon appears to be permanent although I would like to get back to using the basic machine signon.  I will appreciate any help you can give me

How long ago did you purchase it?

All pads HAVE left/right click, try it. Feel the click!  After you sign in, go to Settings, Maximize it, then type in PIN in the search box
