I tried that before and now for full-day but unfortunately, it's nothing better. The temperature outside here in the UK gets higher and most likely that's the issue. Those laptops are very infamous for overheating and because of this OC technology and really bad cooling implemented inside it won't get any better. I knew that when I was buying it (that is most likely why it was so cheap) as everyone around told me not to go for nitro. I want to get rid of the screen and implement my own cooling system (most likely liquid in custom cover) later on when I get some more spare money but for now, my best choice is to disable this default OC to 4GHz (ideally just lower it to 3 but if can't be done than get it to standard). That option should be in BIOS but for some reason, it's not in my laptop. Do you know how can I enter those settings in BIOS as I suppose those are locked somehow? Please see also pictures of this laptop inside there is one gap that concerns me as it doesn't make sense for me to have it there. As you can see on the picture on the right side (processor side) there is a gap above the fan instead of a tight seal, I'm just guessing because those things are usually really well designed to get the best results but maybe it is some issue that was fixed later? Ram and additional SSD are new and added by me (upgraded to 16GB ram from 2x4gb! and more SSD space) the rest is all factory -

Yes, but what advanced settings did you use for the processor power management in the Microsoft balanced plan? If maximum processor states are set for 100%, try reducing them starting with 90%.

Amazing, something that simple and I would never even thought of it. I think reducing it to 99% (first I did 90% as you suggested) pulled it back to 99% of its default power which reduced heat drastically! Now the temperatures are around 60 degrees as they should be and usage raised by 10-15% so far. Ofc it's not ideal for the long run but with what I have right now it's all I needed. Thank you again for your help and time spent answering me. I will most likely create a new threat when I collect some more money and I will try to build up a custom cover with a new cooling system as I hope to work on this laptop for another year or so. Thank you again and hope one day I'll be experienced enough to do stuff like this myself and help others when needed
