Hello, I hope your week is going well. I am experiencing problems with my wifi and was hoping to at least find out what may be the root of the problem.
Basically, I moved into a new place. I'm having some sort of an issue with wifi here. I'm getting disconnected every 5 minutes. My laptop can not find any network. Troubleshooting fixes the problem but not for a long time. There are some 1-2 hour intervals during the day when wifi works without any issues.
Here is the information that may be useful:
* Every time troubleshoot fixes the "problem with wireless adapter or access point"
* I had a similar issue before. It happened when I moved to a new place last time. I solved the problem by changing some settings (Device manager --> "your wireless network adapter" properties --> advanced --> set the roaming agressivnes to "lowest" and wireless mode 9-11), however this solution does not work anymore.
*Nobody in the house experiences the problem with wireless adapter or access point. It's just my laptop. When this happens I can still use internet with my phone.
* The access point is not far.
* I'm NOT getting disconnected less frequently when it's night. I would also say that when someone in the house watches youtube using TV, there is an increased chance that I will be disconnected.
* I'm getting disconnecte even when I'm the only user of the internet in the house.
* I have not installed anything new when I moved in. Google suggested to check for all updates and install them, but it did not help.
*It is certainly not a power economy issue. I have already unchecked "Allow the computer to turn off device to save power". Did not help.
* I have uninstalled the network device and installed it again, it does not help.

Your Predator G3-571 as per Acer SG, has either a "Qualcomm Atheros NFA344A Wi-Fi/BT" or a "Intel 7265 Wi-Fi /BT" card, the Intel 7265 (<<<see this link for a guide to fix issues) is known for connection faults and driver faults, the Qualcomm Atheros NFA344A is a better card, so replace your card as they are very cheap to buy and replace! But, your Wi-Fi should work perfectly especially if your access point is nearby. It could be an inappropriate driver error and/or a card/antenna fault a card connection error as and if “Nobody in the house experiences the problem with wireless adapter or access point. It's just my laptop” its a hardware and your laptops issue fault?

Uninstall the Wi-Fi/BT drivers completely from Device Manager and Control Panel for BT software, btw I’ve had Bluetooth issues with drivers for a brand new Nitro 5 laptop with Win-11 that is the Intel AX1650i card, as the latest Win-11 BT driver from Intel does not work for this card only the Acer OEM old driver does! Check all that out first and experiment with either old Wi-Fi drivers or the latest drivers (for whatever OS you are running?) for your Wi-Fi/BT card, also take the card out and clean its pins and the mobo plug to make sure that there is no corrosion and also check the antenna wire (which runs to the sides of the top cover and screen and intersects and prone to wear) as this cover is being opened and closed hence, there could be wear and tear or a broken antenna wire and/or the antenna is not connected to the Wi-Fi/BT card properly also. The Wi-Fi/BT cards in laptops are very reliable and always work properly unless the above issues happen, which in some laptops do happen, so check all that as I’ve never ever had your problems ever with Wi-Fi issues in over 10 years of using a wireless laptop card but with BT I’ve sometimes had a drivers issue that stopped it working like with this new Nitro 5 laptop.

Also make sure that all your Windows Updates, Nvidia and Intel drivers are up to date as that has allot to do with your laptops connectivity and performance also. Install the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant so that all Intel drivers are up to date and update the bios to the last version 1.22 as all that will keep your laptop functioning to its top and max performance.

    Qualcomm Atheros NFA344A Wi-Fi/BT USD $9,90

Thank you very much for your help. Previously I was trying to update the network drivers by right clicking on the network adapter and pressing "update drivers" and I thought that I had the latest drivers installed. I followed yor advice and decided to roll back to a previous driver version, and while looking for older versions I found out that the driver I'm using is apparently ancient. Installing the latest driver helped. Thank you.

Not a problem as I'm glad to help you out as not having a Wi-Fi is a pretty annoying thing, hope it will work 100% from now on as Wi-Fi very rarely goes wrong and it’s not like the Bluetooth drivers that are very sensitive and conflicting and they go wrong often or disconnect and/or lose their drivers often needing to be reinstalled as I've outlined above and with my new Nitro 5 AN515-56 that refuses to work with the latest Intel Win-11 Bluetooth driver and I have to use the old Acer Bluetooth driver as the latest Intel Wi-Fi Win-11 driver works perfectly and I've got two different drivers for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and it works perfectly, so keep this in mind also if you install the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant and your Bluetooth gets updated and it doesn’t work with the new driver.
