Startup without mouse, touchpad

In trying to save space on my netbook, I eliminated Elan pointing device from startup menu without realizing that the mouse would not work when I turned on my netbook. Because I usually sit in a recliner when using it, I disabled the touchpad, but now I can't do anything on my acer and it's out of warranty. I messed with something I shouldn't have, so please give me step by step instructions how I can use keystrokes to recover it. Thanks!
