My Acer Nitro 5 is overheating and making noise. But there is also strange black powder too.

I've had my Acer Nitro 5 laptop for almost two years now and I'm sorry to say that I have not been putting it in its case.  As a result, I believe my laptop has suffered from possible dust and particles getting inside.  It overheats pretty bad, works really slow, and there is this strange pure black dust coming from the bottom vents.  I looked up solutions online and sources have told me to put some thermal paste in.  But I am no computer expert and depending on how loud the fans sound I believe I may have to get some new fan replacements as well.   However I really spent close to a thousand on this laptop and DO NOT want to spend another just to have another working laptop.  I thought of taking it down to best buy as they say they charge 45 dollars.  But I'm a bit concerned of the hidden costs and consequences it may have on my laptop's health.  I really just want to fix my computer so I can continue playing genshin.  Any advice?

You can try to alternately vacuuming the air intake vents (both sides of bottom cover) and blowing air into the exhaust vent (middle of bottom cover) to try to loosen and dislodge debris that has accumulated on the fans blades & heat sinks. You should also uninstall any 3rd party antivirus programs as they are no longer needed by most users and tend to heat up the laptop in a browser while playing games.

Nebula9872 you can’t have it all, cheap service cost, no computer experience and I'm a bit concerned of the hidden costs etc etc. this laptop needs to be cleaned out, repased and even its cpu/gpu fans changed if their bearings are faulty? If you can’t do all those things don’t touch your Nitro and/or open it as you will damage it by doing something wrong!

Also give us the exact model number e.g. AN515-xx so that we can advise you about OEM parts of the fans if they need replacing or whatever? The bottom line here is that your laptop hasn’t been maintained as it should be and you must have conflicting or none excitant updates to windows, gpu drivers and Intel gpu, chipset etc drivers that a laptop needs to be periodically updated with so that it operates at its max speed and efficency. Its like a vehicle, if you don’t service a vehicle it won’t run and you will have component problems and performance problems.
