You should try latest versions (21.10 or 22.04). Both of those has an option to run LIVE from USB storage, without changing system files. You will see for your own if everything works fine.

You can download Ubuntu ISO from ubuntu.com. Install it into USB thumbdrive with balenaEtcher.
Here's a detailed instruction how to prepare a bootable media with Ubuntu: https://ubuntu.com/tutorials/install-ubuntu-desktop#1-overview

When your media is prepared, boot into it. Select Ubuntu LIVE option.

If you're going to install Ubuntu as your main OS, I recommend, before installing, to create a separate bootable media with Windows 10/11. So you could easily switch back to Windows. You can do this by using Windows Media Creation Tool.

I Want to install ubuntu as my main os, removing windows completly. I will try the live version once before installing, i heard that refus is good for creating bootable usb with custom settings as my laptop does not have legacy bios, it is UEFI.
