I bought my Predator Helios PH315-53-57VP about 7 months ago, but it suddenly won't start so I brought it to the local Acer service center. They found out that the main board is the problem and they said that it's a possible defect or deterioration of the main board. The technicians did not find any physical damage such as signs of overheat, water damage, etc. I did not expect this laptop to be damaged in just 7 months especially since I rarely play heavy games and I only use it for work most of the time.

The Service Center said that they already ordered the main board replacement but it has been more than three (3) weeks now since I left my laptop to them and until now, it's still not repaired. I followed up multiple times but I always get the same response from them, that the main board replacement is still being sourced out. I live in Davao City, Philippines, by the way.

What do you think is the best thing to do in this situation? Should I buy a new laptop and sell the 7 month old Predator once it's repaired? I am afraid that the laptop will just get damaged time and time again as I already lost confidence in the quality of this laptop.

I am currently losing a lot of money due to the absence of my laptop as I use it for my main work and it's frustrating. I am so disappointed with this laptop already. Any good advice? Thank you.
