I have an Acer Swift SF315-52G, I am wondering if the Type-C port it has supports charging and serves as a display port by connecting to monitors "as HDMI port", or transferring sounds via Type-C headphones any experience? How how can I make sure about that without trying it "to avoid possible battery damages"?

According to the manual sf315-52_sf315-52G_(Erdinger_KL)_UM_(date)_EN.book (acer.com) page 11 states that the SF315-52G has a USB 3.1 Gen 1 port. That does not support USB Type-C charging or DisplayPort audio/video output. You need USB 3.1 Gen 2 for those things.

You don't need to worry about possible battery damage if you connect USB devices to that port.

    Hi @hazem94,

If your laptop has a built-in USB-C port, then you'll be able to charge your laptop via a USB-C cable - you just have to make sure the cable has a plug adapter (the box-shaped plug at the end of your phone charger than can plug into an outlet). Some laptops use a USB-C cable as the primary charger.
