hello I have a computer AN515-43-R9M4 with all windows 10 updates and when I connect my headphones (via JACK connector) I don't get the popup window where it asked what type of device I connected (the options were: headset, headset with microphone or microphone) How can I re-activate it? Because I need that notification for the microphone to work.
I have tried to troubleshoot this problem with several support people and support for my computer model but no one could solve my problem.

I have already tried going to troubleshooting, update audio drivers/uninstall audio driver and install an updated one.

I have also gone to control panel > hardware and sound > sound. in the options no headset with microphone connected shows up. (I did all that with the headset connected to my laptop).

Please can you help me as I really need it and I don't know what else to do.

Uninstall the sound driver like Realtek Audio Driver at Control Panel completely and reboot then install the Acer Audio Driver, Audio Console Driver and the Audio Utility make sure that you have the last bios installed also the v1.12 “1.Update Insyde solution for 20H2. 2.Update PI 1.0.0.B. for 20H2” but be careful with bios updates as updating the bios incorrectly will damage your laptop! As whenever you connect a wired headphone the headphone should connect automatically and work 100% and there must be a driver problem that needs updating and fixing on your laptop.
