Additional Harddrive Issue - Aspire 5

I recently bought an Acer Aspire 5 to replace an old laptop that stopped working. I've been using it for a while and just today tried to install the harddrive from my old laptop into the Acer (since it supports installing an additional harddrive). However once I started it up, it seems to have switched to all the settings and configurations of the newly installed harddrive from the old laptop, the desktop and taskbar has all changed along with the users. This also seems to have caused my mouse to stop working. I was wondering if there is any easy way to switch everything back to the other original harddrive and have the second one function as an external drive or something? I would really like to access these files.

    (1) Shut the laptop off
    (2) Turn it back on again and immediately start tapping the F2 key to enter the BIOS menu
    (3) Make sure both HDDs show up in the BIOS INFORMATION tab (post phone photo of this tab if possible)
    (4) Go to BOOT order tab. If both HDDs show up, rearrange the Boot order so the HDD from the A5 is first.
    (5) Press F10 to save settings and exit the BIOS menu
    (6) Cross your fingers to see what happens
