I am wondering if there’s anyone who can help me with this problem I have.  Currently using an aspire V5-471 MS2360, With Windows 10 home .  While using the system I noticed my Wi-Fi turned off(was running YouTube at the time), I tired to use the function key (fn + f3) to turn it back on, The toggle would let me switch it to the “on” position as I see it was in the “off” position for no reason, but as soon as I close the menu, when I press the function key again to show my Wi-Fi,I see it reset back to the off position.  I tried it a few more times than the same thing happens, I also tried restarting the Laptop but to no avail.  Also notice my Wi-Fi status is always switched To “off” in windows and the same thing happens when I switch it to “on”, It just turns itself off.  Is there anything I can do to fix this , I would hate to have to format my laptop

Open Device Manager. Click network adapters folder. Right click properties wifi adapter. Click power management tab. Uncheck the box to let computer shut off device to save power.

Thanks jack, Unfortunately that didn’t do anything, I also did a restart to make sure.

I also tried to troubleshoot with window, and it’s telling me I need to turn on WiFi, so I know something is turning it off and keeping it there.

If the checkmark reappeared in the wifi power management section, then open Control Panel again. Search 'button'. Click 'change what the power buttons do' in left pane. Click 'change settings that are currently unavailable' near top of  next pane. Scroll down and uncheck the box for fast startup. Shut down the machine normally. Then start it up again. You may have to check Device Manager to uncheck wifi checkmark one more time.
