Hello all,

I've recently repaster my Helios 300 2019 laptop. I've applied paste to the VMEM also instead of adding thermal pads. For the first gaming session all seemed to be working fine and the temps were better than prior to repaste. On the second session a few hours later I have received a blue death screen and after restart I have noticed that the games 3d graphics have gone very pixelated and would not load properly.

I suspect I have added too little paste on the VMEM and there was insufficient contact to the heatsink.

I have updated the Nvidia drivers and notice the Nvidia control panel has vanished from the task panel and I cannot launch it manually. Is it possible the GPU has shutdown as a means of protecting itself from breaking? I have already ordered new paste and new pads, 0.5mm for the VMEMs and 1mm for the rest as suggested by different sources on repasting and will repaste once they arrive to see if it helps.

My setup :
