I just buy new Nitro AN515-57-58_LR and add 8Gb Ram with 1 Optical HD 1 Tb  . After first starting notebook the AC adapter plugged-in can charge the battery to full 100% capacity , all the win 11 updates are done .   Then the adapter is unplugged so that the extra Ram and HD can be added into this Nitro 5.  Once it is done, Nitro 5 is powered on without the AC plugged-in adapter  to check if the additional Ram and HD  are worked perfectedly. They are fine working .   After that Nitro 5 is shut down.   Then, it is turned on again with only battery usage.  When the low battery is shown, the AC adapter is plugged in.  However, after the AC adapter is plugged in again to charge the battery ,  battery cannot be charged , no light of charging battery is lid ,either.  Please kindly let me know how to solve this problem.

Open the laptop back cover and unplug the battery for 5 min and then replug it and try again. Also check the charger/adaptor if there is NO short? As chargers have a safety fuse that turns them off as a safety. Check this out with a volt meter at the plug as this should not be happening with a new laptop and if the charger plug is plugged in fully and properly at the back of the laptop. Otherwise you must have shorted something out within the power/charging board of the laptop that needs a technician to diagnose and/or fix

Thank you for your info. More than 5 minutes unplugged time was done, and AC adapter is replugged. Either battery still cannot be charged or the light is not turned on. There is not short on adapter after being checked by volt meter.   What else can be done to fixed thus problem, please.

i had the same issue and it came down to the charger plug not being inserted all the way. you might try to make sure that it is fully plugged into the back of the laptop

    Hi @meemu,

    # Try to update the battery driver

    1. Hold windows key and hit letter X.
    2. Choose the device manager option.
    3. Go with the option battery.
    4. Under the title battery.
Update Battery Drivers in Windows EASILY - Driver Easy
    5. Right click on that option ----> Update all driver under the title battery.
    6. Choose "search automatically".

Check this T/S and post the result.
