Hello ALL,
In Feb 2022 I purchased an Acer Aspire A515-56G. My Laptop setup:
Operating system: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro (version 10.0.22000; build 22000)
InsydeH20 Setup Utility BIOS: Insyde Corp. (version: V1.26)
Processor: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz (architecture: x64; 2803 MHz)
Physical memory: 15.8 GB
HDD0 Disk: HFM512GDJTNI-82A0A (476.9 GB)
- I changed it from Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro,
- Then I upgraded it to Microsoft Windows 11 Pro
- Now it is April 2022 - only two months later and this wonderful laptop boots into the 'Inaccessible Boot Device'
- At least it gave me Advanced options
-- Startup Repair fails
-- Restore fails
-- Uninstall Updates fails
-- System Restore fails
--- I found this via community search:
https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/656178/acer-aspire-a515-56g-beware-of-new-bios-upgrade/p2--- Could be the same but the issue is I also cannot locate the SSD driver: HFM512GDJTNI-82A0A from the vendor!
https://product.skhynix.com/support/downloads.go---- I checked my bios version is: V1.26
---- I can also see my hard drive on there as HDD0: HFM512GDJTNI-82A0A
-- I tried running in Command Prompt: IRST Utility_Intel_18.1.1015.0_W11x64_A - does not work and loads up asking for Admin and flickers
-- I tried running in Command Prompt: IRST_Intel_18.6.1.1016.2_W10x64W11x64_A - does not work and loads up asking for Admin and flickers
-- Suspect, just like the other post that it is no longer picking my hard drive.
I do not want to wipe and re-install as I am not sure if my Windows 10 Pro license will work again after being activated already, will I lose my Office 2021 Pro license as well.
Most of the work should have been backed up on OneDrive, just have to re-install all the other apps.
So the issue:
Windows boots up to error: Inaccessible Boot Device
If it is the Hard Drive not being picked up - well there ain't no vendor driver to download and Acer driver does not seem to work via Command Prompt.
Has anyone any suggestions?
