Swift SF314-51 64 bit built in 2016 running Windows 10
Bluetooth "turn on" button is missing
Bluetooth driver is NOT in the list of drivers in the Device Manager.
Downloaded Bluetooth_Atheros_10.0.0.278_W10x64_(NFA344A Liteon) from Acer support site
Ran the exe file and it runs well...asks for a restart etc. repeat, repeat
The bluetooth driver is STILL NOT in the list of drivers - so I cannot right click and point to the driver file. Bluetooth is still not operational (no button, no earbud connection)
This has happened before but these steps have resolved it. Not this time
How can I force the driver to load?

For the record  - I solved this by performing a wireless network reset. Not sure why this works. I guess the bluetooth hardware is part of the same qualcomm wireless network card as wi-fi connectivity.

Also and especially with the Atheros Wi-Fi/BT cards and their drivers (as I’ve had allot of experience with changing and updating these cards as they are very reliable) its best to update to the last drivers and completely uninstall the old drivers too, as your problems will happen again. I suggest that you go and get all the newest drivers from here at; Unofficial Qualcomm Atheros drivers website which offers Windows 10 drivers for most Qualcomm Atheros Wi-Fi/BT cards. So do that as these actions are going to fix your problems.

StevenGen, thanks for the suggestion. I agree that it is an ongoing problem. Is there a step-by-step video or instructions that you know of that walks through the process?

I can identify from System Information that within hardware my wireless card is the QCA61x4A and when I click in there is a table of drivers. I need win 10/64. But then there are 10? different 'types' of driver. Do I download them all? Am I looking for a specific one? I dont know exactly what I am looking for. And then, how would I remove the older drivers (I have searched this yet.)
