Acer Swift 3 SF314-57G BIOS settings resetting by itself

I am running linux on my laptop and booting fails every 3 days or so. The BIOS gets reset to, what I think are default settings. Secure boot, fast boot and SATA mode, gets reset and linux fails to boot. Is there a hidden mechanism at play that's resetting my BIOS every few days? Do I have to disable the D2D recovery option?

Did you install it alongside Windows?

Are you using the Windows boot manager, or grub?

Thanks for the reply. No, I wiped Windows completely, so it's booting with grub.

Enter BIOS menu. Enable secure boot. Click BIOS Security tab. Click trusted UEFI file for executing. Click boot drive (eg. HDD0 ) Click EFI folder. What subfolders do you see?

You could also be having an issue with the CMOS battery, allowing the BIOS to switch to defaults. Though your machine is obviously new enough that it shouldn't be happening.
