I'm going to attempt starting a hole new category, and I'm going to call it "WHAT'S UP WITH THAT"

So here's the thing acer, I have one of your better mid range laptops, the Acer Aspire 3. Now in this laptop I have A 500 gig ssd as well as A 500 gig hdd. Along side them I have A 16 gig stick of ram. however there isn't a single game i can play on this disgustingly slow laptop I also have another laptop from a different company (which I'm not going to name as I'm not trying to start a campaign here) but this other laptop as been around since the dawn of time, I don't think it even knows what a gig is yet its still faster then my aspier3. So I ask you Acer " What's up with that"?

Sounds like it needs a major tuneup. Is there a 15 year old around ? Suspect the HDD is the performance limiter.

The Aspire 3 has many configurations including i3 or i5 cpu and with or without DVD. I have an Aspire 3 A317-52 with i3, 8GB in matched 4 GB sticks, 500GB SSD, and DVD. It is quite crisp and was in the $400-$500 range.
