I undervolted my Nitro 5 and it's idle temps are around 39-43 Celcius and when I'm browsing it's around 50. But is it normal to have the temperature spike to 80 sometimes for a second when loading a new tab in browser/opening a program?

Yes.  It is  normal to have the temperature spike to 80 sometimes for a second.


I suggest you to get a good cooler pad for your laptop to reduce the temperature.
