Hi, I've been able to find similar posts with no actual solution (I am aware that I may be overlooking so if there is an actual solution to this, please let me know).

My Helios 300 PH317-55 laptop is plugged and when I start gaming with high-end games it switches from battery to plugged again and again causing a terrible lag each time. At some point it even gets the two lights blinking which theoretically means "there is something wrong with the power supply" and acts as if the laptop isn't plugged.

This must be a known issue, if you think of something I could try let me know.

I understand this is something the laptop does. However, I still have a problem since this is a gaming laptop and I cannot game while my laptop is plugged (which is supposed to be the best way to do it). So, is there any way to remove the lagging that comes with this "feature".

It could be throttling of some sort. Get Cinebench and HWiNFO and run Cinebench while looking at the HWiNFO sensors for your CPU. See what happens with the core clocks, voltages, and power draw once you get to 85-87C. If they all drop, then there's throttling going on. ThrottleStop might help fix that.
