Hi,
I bought my laptop a week or two ago and noticed that I can't change my pin, or add facial and fingerprint detection when it has fingerprint detection. I could change my pin on windows 10 but not 11. my model is Swift SF114-34.
Please Help.

You don't have infrared camera, so of course windows hello face doesn't work.

Windows Hello PIN is per device, not per account.

You bought a new laptop, you have to set PIN for the new laptop.

@Alexm8 What exactly does the "Sign-in options" screen in your settings menu look like? Can you provide a screenshot like the one I have provided below? You can use the Shift + Win + S keyboard shortcut to access a screen snipping tool in Windows 11. Use that to screenshot your settings screen after unfolding the biometrics and PIN sign-in options.

Make sure your device is fully up-to-date. It may be that you do not have the drivers to unlock your device with the fingerprint reader; updating your device through Windows Update should fix that. Simply keep installing updates with Windows Update until you run out of updates. If you still can't access other sign-in options, you may want to consider installing the optional updates in the Windows Update utility.

Additionally, you may want to try unticking the "only allow Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts on this device" option under "Additional options" in the sign-in options screen if you use a local account; however, I use a local account (I have not signed in to Windows 11 with a Microsoft account) and this setting was ticked for me, yet I can still use biometrics and a PIN code, so this option might not do anything.

Finally, please look through what software you have installed or what programs you have run that might mess with Windows sign-in. For example, ThisIsWin11, a Windows 11 "debloater" tool, will disable Windows Hello through a registry key. If you used this program with all of the default settings, then you will have to find what registry key this is and undo the change that was made.
