On pressing Power button of sp513-52n there is no reponse at all.
Power supply is on, battery loading indicator is on. But laptop does not start.
Any ideas what could be wrong? Are there any alternative ways to power-on?

If the computer is not able to power on you may find it helpful to perform a power reset. This discharges any electrical build-up which may prevent your notebook from powering on correctly. Unplug the AC power adapter. Locate the battery pinhole reset on the bottom (battery symbol), insert a small paperclip in the battery reset pinhole and hold the button down for 5 seconds. Connect the power adapter and power ON the laptop.

    Hi @BertVisser0411,

It looks like hardware issue. Contact acer tech support,

The power button, and the other ports on that side, are on a daughter card that is connected to the motherboard using a ribbon cable. The cable connections might not be working right or the button itself might not be working right. I expect that you are no longer in warranty, since the chipset is 8th gen and the newest systems are 12th gen. What I'd do at this point is open it up and inspect the daughter card and the cable to the motherboard. I expect that two of the wires in the cable are directly from the power button and some time spent with a multimeter might show where the failure is. If it's the card itself the Acer part number is: 55.GR7N1.001 and the number for the cable is: 450.0CR05.0001 or 450.0CR05.0011.
