Depends which model E1-531 you have? If you have the Celeron cpu its not worth it, as the i5 ot i7 are a much better cpu, as the Celeron is pretty slow and it would not be worth upgrading and/or spending money on this laptop. Also check if its running the UEFI bios and not the MBR bios? Btw, I've done the same to an old Aspire V3-571G that came OEM with the i7-3610QM cpu and I upgraded it to 16GB ram and a 2.5” SSD boot drive that came with an MBR/Legacy bios and with Win- 8 but this laptop had a bios mod to UEFI, which I applied so that this laptop operated in UEFI and with Win-10 Pro very well for years without any problems with the below upgrades. I don't know if this UEFI mod is available for your E1-531 laptop?

If it has the UEFI bios (which is a more preferable bios format) then you need to have the last bios version 2.21 installed and make sure that you run the max RAM (I think its 16GB for your laptop? Run the Crucial System Scan to find out) and also you have to run an SSD boot drive. All these factors are crucial to running Win-10 properly and for it to operate fully on this laptop. After all this make sure that all the updates for windows, graphics and Intel drivers are up to date as this laptop is more than capable to run Win-10 Home or Pro.

Hi, I don't know the type of bios, but I have already updated the disk that was previously mechanical from 500 and now is SSD from 1 TB, and the ram from 4 to 8 GB.
The processor is Intel B960, do you think it is possible to upgrade to windows 10? The problem is that from windows update there is no possibility to update windows to version 10, so you need to download the ISO and try with the one from the USB stick?

Yes, from there you download the windows 10 image, the problem is that I have to install it on a pc with the features I wrote above, this pc originally supports up to windows 8.1, but there are often methods to be able to install systems operating even if they are not originally supported, such as windows 11, there are ways to be able to install it in cpu that are not in the list of those that support windows 11, here I wanted to know if anyone knew similar procedures to be able to install windows 10 in a pc with the above characteristics.
