Why won’t my laptop charge spin 1.1

Suddenly started making a screeching sound, turned off and now won’t even charge. Not even 6months old!!! 🥴 Iv checked plug with multmetre & output 19v?

    That doesn't sound good... There aren't very many moving parts, so a screech is likely either a fan or a HDD. You haven't told us what laptop you have, so we can't guess any more than that. It sounds like you are still in warranty so open a ticket with Acer support.

    What is the laptop model number? Also this laptop is under warranty and what is happening to your laptop by not charging is internal as it could be a Super IO and other power related components are faulty that Acer needs to look at. Contact Acer in your area and send your laptop to them to fix.

    If it's as new as that your best bet is to just swap it with the vendor and let them deal with Acer for the warranty. Child failures like that happen occasionally, though not often really when compared to the number of units built...

    Thank you, I’m hoping they can download my files tho as I need them for court in regards to my 14yr old sons suicide.
    I prepared all my documents on there but they havnt been backed up!! 🥴

    It's best to try and recover those files before doing the swap then. There are lots of different Spin 1 models, yours should be something like SP1xx-xxx-xxxx and the model number is likely on the same sticker that has the SN and SNID. Do you still have the box it came in? Maybe we can determine the specs from that. We need to know which model it is and which drive is installed in order to pull the data off.
