Swift 5 (SF514-54T-77V6) has completely lost audio after win11 upgrade

Hey Guys I am trying to help a family member out who has a swift 5 and so far I haven't been able to find a simple fix for this as I am reluctant to completely reset her laptop or roll it back to windows 10 - The issue is that it has completely lost it's sound output device and I suspect it happened once they did the upgrade to win 11 as suggested by windows update. Even in device manager there is no section for "sound, video and game controllers" it just doesn't exist in there like it should. I've tried downloading the drivers available on acers site, but they appear to only have drivers for windows 10 anyway - and upon trying to install the driver package it says that it can't find an audio device to install it on anyway. I've checked bios to make sure no one accidently disabled the sound output, but there doesn't even appear to be an option in bios to do that anyway. Is there anyone else who has had this happen? and is there a fix? because I really don't want to go through the hassle of doing a complete fresh install on this thing, just because the owner installed the upgrade that microsoft suggested. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

@Enmitynz can you take a screenshot of your device manager? Expand the sound tabs and make sure there is no yellow triangle on other devices tab.
Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
Thank you and have a nice day!

You likely have a lower level driver having problems, and the audio is sitting on top of that, so isn't recognized as even installed... As suggested the issue ought to show up in Device Manager.
