F5 572G 781S Failed RAM upgrade

Recently tried upgrading RAM of this laptop from two sticks of 4gig Kingston acr16d3ls1kng/4g to two sticks of 8gig Patriot PSD38G16002S. Laptop refuses to boot with Patriot RAM in it. Screen remains dark, HDD stops spinning. Putting the Kingston RAM back in makes the laptop boot normally. Patriot sticks aren't faulty, they work fine, tested with an Acer Aspire 5552, and from what I see, they should be compatible with the F5 laptop as well. Tried clearing the CMOS, didn't work either.

    @Tony256 the Patriot is DDR3 and won't be compatible. Your laptop only takes DDR3L like the Kingston RAM.
