@DONUT here is the reference games list: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOAFagfz11U. Keep in mind that his laptop's specs are better than yours but same GPU so you will get some lower FPS when playing those.

With an i3 6006u and 4gb ram, the performance isn’t going to kill through the tasks. The GeForce 940MX is pretty good for light to middle-range gaming. No. You can’t play the most recent titles at 1080p ultra 60fps. You can play lighter titles such as The Sims and older games.
Upgrading your RAM won’t increase game/performance speed, only how many tasks you can do at once. You can probably open up to 5 tabs without crashing with 4 GB. Increasing your ram will technically improve things but still don't expect to play anything recent, especially not anything demanding. For laptops, it is very hard to upgrade specific components.
In short, you are going to struggle to play games, especially anything recent. If I were you I would look at good older games like age of empires and half-life. Also, you can try to run GTA 5 at very high settings and you will easily get a minimum of 25 fps to a maximum of 37 fps which is very playable. You’ll mostly average around 25+ FPS. There are many low FPS games that will run on it. I have no idea what kind of games you like, so it would be impossible to make a recommendation. Figure out what games you want to play on it and google the minimum system requirements for those games.
