Hello, I have an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-44 R9GT. ryzen 5 4600h GTX 1650 8GB ram @ 3200Mhz. i know that ryzen CPUs like fast memories but i have an 8GB ram lying around but its on 2666 MHz, will that bottleneck my CPU or something? can i do it? how will the performance be since both sticks will run on the lowest speed (2666Mhz). i feel like it would be a waste to have the 8GB doing nothing and i do need more ram since i open. I think the 2666Mhz stick is CL 16 im not quite sure i don't know if that matters.

@Eli_Sama that stick will reduce the RAM speed from 3200MHz to 2666MHz and can affect the performance a bit.

so its compatible right? if so, how big will it affect it, isnt space more important or will at least cancel out the lower speed

@Eli_Sama yes, it is still compatible. If you install it, the original stick will have to clock down to 2666MHz. The reduction in performance is not really noticeable.

Thank you, im guessing you recommend it. one last question, do i have to clock it down manually or do i just put in the second stick and the original goes down manually?

@Eli_Sama it will automatically clock down.
