For a few days my laptop has not been booting up. It started by randomly shutting down on its own, but now it appears completely dead. Whatever key I touch, nothing happens. When I plug it, the battery light turns orange, then after a few seconds it becomes blue (for like 1 second) and turns orange again, repeating this cycle.
I opened it and disconnected the battery, did a power drain and tried to boot it with cable power only. Nothing happens. When the battery is disconnected, a similar cycle as described above occurs: blue light for a few seconds - interruption (the light shuts off for one second) - and blue light again. I tried to plug the pc in different places (even in different countries as I am on the move at the moment) but the same cycle occurs over and over again.

I also tried to swap ram sticks from their sockets but nothing changed.

I am completely stunned, it is not even 2 years old…

Could anybody help me ? Please 🙏

Seeing that you have taken the battery out which also resets the BIOS and you have done a power drain, it could be your keyboards power switch that is shorted and faulty that restricts your laptop from starting as you are still getting the lights, check that switch out, also check the battery output voltage (yes I know that you are on the move and this is hard to do and you don't have the tools) but that is a way to diagnose power switch/battery problems and a faulty power switch and/or battery is a main cause of a laptop not turning on.

Also and if all that doesn't work then it could be an internal power circuitry issue(s) with a Mosat, Capacitor, Swich circuitry components of the power/charging board components that could have shorted and need tracking/diagnosing and replacing which needs an experienced tech with proper tools and experience to fix. Unfortunately you have done all the initial consumer troubleshooting that you can do, now and especially if you are on the move all you can do is try to get a new battery and see if that fixes your problem ? which I can't guarantee that it will, hope this helps you out.
