AN515-54 Not working: Fan, keyboard light and sound

Hi team,

I booted my laptop up and greeted with blue screen. It restarted and booted fine and loaded my game up. I noticed that the keyboard back light did not come on and sound was not working as well. My laptop got hot which made me realise that both the CPU and GPU fan were not working.

Without playing games the laptop does not get hot.

I ran a recovery, did a SFC check and put BIOS back to default all with nil effect.

Does this sound like a power supply issue or a faulty fan?

It might help if you could reveal your full laptop model number. For example AN515-54?

Shut the laptop down normally. Turn it back on.  During the initial boot process, do you hear the fan spinning loudly, then after a  few seconds spin down?

    Hi,
There's no spin or sound at all from the fans at any point

OK. The fan is supposed to temporarily spin up on startup to overcome getting stuck from static friction. aka stiction.  Either the fan connector came loose from the mainboard or the fan is indeed stuck or failed. Is this machine still under warranty?

    Hi,

See NitroSense and what it says? And if your fans are spinning and what temps you are getting? Or open up the laptop and power it on and see physically what is happening with your fans? When you open the laptop, clean the vents, fans and change the paste of your CPU/GPU to a high quality paste. Then see if your Fans, keyboard light and sound work? Otherwise go to Device Manager and see these components and uninstall their drivers and REFRESH them or install the latest drivers for especially your sound drivers.
