Internal microphone not working - Acer Swift3 SF314-42

Hi everyone,
I have a problem with my internal microphone on my Acer Swift3 SF314-42. Two months ago I updated to Windows11. It seemed it was all fine until, two weeks ago, the microphone stopped working, as if it could not detect any sound (but in the device management it was all okay). Few days later also my internal cam stopped working. So I decided to do a clean install of Windows10: the camera now works fine, but the mic doesn't yet. I tried everything: I've already made sure that all the parameters are okay (the mic is on, it has all the permissions it needs, I updated the drivers - but it says that the most recent are already installed, I downloaded the Audio drivers from acer for my laptop model but I still can't figure it out).
What can I do?
I've tried with an external mic (and also an external cam when it did not work in Windows11) and it works fine.
Thank you.

Hi,
Go to Device manager, expand Audio inputs and outputs, right click Microphone Array and select Properties, move to Driver tab and uninstall the driver, reboot and let Windows install the driver.

Hi,
I had already tried this and I've just tried it again right now, but that does not help. Other suggestions? Do you think it can be something related to the hardware? How can I check that?0 -
Give this a try and let us know, go to Computer Management, Services, right click "Windows Audio" and click Restart, do the same for "Windows Audio Endpoint Builder".

I think you have to send it for a service repair to Acer support centre in your country or get it fixed by a local repair shop.

I have the same problem. Windows/microsoft support guy spent over an hour trying to sort it and he says its the inbuilt mic that is at fault. How much does it cost to repair in UK?
