My computer no longer recognizes the ethernet.

in Predator Desktops
I had my modem replaced, tried multiple Ethernet wires, updating the drivers... any ideas?

    Are the lights lighting up on the router and device? If not, if you plug it into the ethernet port of another device do they light up?

    What is your network topology? Is it something like: Internet->modem->router->WiFi and hardware? Modems usually only have the two connections, one from the internet (via fiber or cable or phone line) and one Ethernet to the house. The router takes that one port and typically gives you four Ethernet ports plus the WiFi. Some systems have the modem and router in one box...
