For some reason my CPU temperature sometimes spikes up to 70-80 degrees when doing absolute basic tasks like web browsing. This only occurs when I don't use a CPU undervolter like Throttle-stop.

  • Hi,
There are many background tasks running, so it's normal for the CPU to fluctuate and the temps spike according to it, anyway, your CPU is capable to withstand up to 100°C and you don't need to be concerned about the temps at the moment, when you use Throttlestop the CPU doesn't run at high frequencies, hence there are no temperature spike.
