I just bought a huawei p50 in thailand. Over a year ago i bought the acer swift 5 sf514-53t-5446. I presume this is an
asian model as they are often specced differently to western models when you buy anything the battery on this one
for example is way below what you get on the swift 5 in the west

my question is can this thai or asian model be charged over USB c (dont confuse it with other models they arent the same.

secondly can I use my 65 watt p50 charger to do it?

I dont want to plug it in, in case it fuses my laptop or something crazy like that

thanks for any info on the topic

You can charge yours through the USB-C port, as long as the charger provides 20V at 45W or higher. The P50 blurb on Huawei's site doesn't give specs on the charger that I can find, but they could easily be providing a lower voltage than 20V.
