My SF 114-32 power button will not turn on the laptop.
The power is coming in at 19.5v.
I have taken the back cover off and measured voltage on keyboard connector. It has a little over 3v on some pins and 0 on most but I don't know which are connected to the power button if any.
How can I bypass the power button?
If I find the power button is the fault, how do I change it?

Acer doesn't provide a pinout of that keyboard connector so it's pretty difficult to figure out which two signals are the keyboard power button. As you surmise they are separate from the multiplexed signals from the other key combinations. It's also possible they are in the keyboard backlight connector, but I think that unlikely since they ship versions of the SF114-32 without backlit keyboards, where that connector wouldn't have a cable at all. I believe the only option for replacing a faulty power button is a replacement keyboard... Which locale is yours setup for? What case color is it? Does it have the backlight? With the answers to all three of those questions we can lookup the Acer part number for the keyboard.

    Hi @dubbySwords,

    Try to do power drain,

    1. Shutdown the unit.
    2. Unplug the cables connected to the unit.
    3. At bottom of the unit there will be a small tiny pin hole with a battery symbol close to it. Take a pin or a paper clip insert into it you feels like pressing a button hold it for 20-30 seconds.
