acer Aspire ES1-521 Currently my CPU and TPM doesn't meet the specs. for Windows 11. Six years old, wondering if I should upgrade the CPU and TPM, not wanting to use as a gaming machine. I know that Windows 10 is good until 2024-2025; but I don't know if I will be able to upgrade by then. Where would I get the right parts for this model? I could install Windows 11 without the TPM and CPU but I could put my system at risk for any updates.

You can't change the CPU/GPU on your Aspire ES1-521 laptop and your laptop does not have the necessary specs for MS's min qualifying specs for Win-11, you will have to get a new laptop and also may I add also that Win-11 is not all that its made out to be (I've used it since it was released) and its a progression and a mix-up of everything that was good in Win-10 which Microsoft either disabled or its not available on Win-11 and they have turned everything upside down to change things =) . its the usual thing that Microsoft does with every OS update and Win-11 is no different, stick to Win-10 as its 80% better and Win-11 is a broken down version of Win-10 so far.

I have one Acer laptop upgraded to Win 11. I have to admit I have not used it enough to explore most of the Win 11 features, as it is the least used PC, that is why I chose to upgrade it to Win 11. In case something wrong with the Win 11, it will affect me least.

Tried to find out what's new with Win 11 and how is it more superior than Win 10, but turn out some features (whether I use that or not) are removed in Win 11. For the mean time, I'll try stay away from Win 11 until absolutely needed.
