I have an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-44 and I am trying to reinstall the latest BIOS version which is v1.04 however I keep getting the error "The version of ROM file is the same as that of BIOS". Please can someone offer a solution on how to fix this. I am trying to reinstall the same BIOS version as I need to for a certain application.

First find out your current BIOS working on your AN515-44, go to left side taskbar "type here to search" and type in "System Information" have a look at "BIOS Version/Date" as that should show the working BIOS that you have on your AN515-44, its impossible that a BIOS flash utility will tell you ""The version of ROM file is the same as that of BIOS" if its not e.g. version 1.04 that is working on your laptop now.

Also and as Acer warns you “"Upgrading your system BIOS incorrectly could harm your Acer product. Please proceed with caution" as BIOS updates are not just done willy nearly just as an update and to have the latest BIOS version, you only update if the new BIOS fixes problems that you have which the version 1.04 fixes as its title says “1.Add for new panel ID” so be careful as and if you do anything wrong you could brick your laptop.
