The Nitro AN515-55 laptop has the following storage specs (see caption below) and uses a PCIe3x4 type M.2 drive in both of its M.2 slots, the AN515-55 laptops PCIe M.2 slots is backward compatible so that you can put a PCIe4x4 M.2 drive into this slot but it will work at max PCIe3x4 speed or if you put a slower PCIe3x2 the slot will only work at the max PCIe3x2 drives speed, that is what backward compatible means.

The quickest PCIe3x4 M.2 tested drives that will work 100% and fully with the Nitro AN515-55 laptop and have been benchmarked tested by a good guide from Tom's Hardware, quote the PCIe3x4 M.2 drives as the fastest are the following:

    1. For the 1TB its the WD Blue SN580 1TB at sequential speed of 4,174MB/s and Copy speed at 1,501MB/s
    2. For the 2TB its the Intel SSD 670p 2TB at sequential speed of 3,218MB/s and Copy speed at 1,061MB/s.

Have a look at all these M.2 drives tested speeds here at SSD Benchmarks Hierarchy 2024 as I wouldn't go by what manufacturers quote their speeds at as most of the time those speeds are exaggerated. Good luck and hope this helps you out some more.
