Hello!

Please, anyone could give me some info about below?

First of all, i would like to be clear, i read a LOT of posts with similar problems and no convinceble solution. ( HELLO ACER)  ;)

I have a Predator Helios 300 (PH315-52). I have a factory default SSD Samsung NVMe 256GB and it works Perfect. I bought recently a Kngspec 1TB NVME and i am facing some issues.

First i used as a OS main storage, as C:. I could use for a time, perfectly, tested with Cristal Disk Mark and all tools you can imagine, but it sudenlly stops, give me a BSOD and after boot, returns to me a "No Bootable Device". I did all test i can, so i decided to use it as a simple storage "D:" and return the system to Samsung. It worked very well for some weeks but now my Kingspec suddenly stops and disapear from Windows explorer and all other  places. If i restart windows, it cannot back on, but only if i shutdown and power on again.

I have no performance issues, i have no freezing during games or videos, and it seems to stop working during idle time.

What i did:
- Format
-Using AHCI on bios ( not optane )
- Run tests
-All terminal diagnosis and all this kind of stuff

What i read about:
- A possible incompatibility of PCIex versions, or speed, i guess. But i am not shure how to diagnosis this.

Consideration (for ACER, if Possible):
-Its bios is under 1.12 version and there is no further versions.
-The bios seems to be a 90's computer bios, a really piece of junk (no ofense)
-The bios do not have any mention about PCIex speed or compatibility, so i can't do any tryies.
-The options on BIOS  are very poor.

So, if have some one could give some help or acer's staff give some attention, please, do it! I don't know how to solve this anymore.

In advance, i would like to say thank you.

thiago_cezare personally i have never heard about that brand at all and i always stay away from shady brands i dunno nothing about i mainly use WD (they are fairly cheap right now comparing with the £400 i have paid for my 2tb wdblue m.2 sata in 2018) and im guessing might be the drive itself thats not compatible with your mobo port specs or its faulty i have seen this happening wit ram also especially crucial ram wouldnt work on many predators if you have any other device test the drive on it for awhile to see if it causes any issues if not youre sure its a incompatibility issue or a faulty drive if it was me and still under warranty i would probably open an rma or try to swap it with another drive also if you dont do rendering works or content creation you dont need nvme at all for just gaming/storage  but these days the sata are even more expensive than the nvme so yeah and you should not use the larger 1tb drive as OS drive anyways the OS should be kept in a smaller drive and use the secondary larger one for storage/games/software thats the proper procedure  good luck :)

  • Yes, I agree with @xapim, it could be a faulty or incompatible with the laptop, return to the retailer for replacement or refund.

Thanks for both. I contacted the factory and i will return it to them. I think it is a incompatibility/faulty driver. So, i will back with news when i have it.

Hi, i am back here to bring new informatios, since you've been helping me.Once more thanks for your previous help and i need to say we have kind of  a problem on Predator motherbnoard or some inconsistence on Windows, i guess.
i did a last try before send the SSD back to the factory. I unpluged the HDD from mother board and all my problems gone. since them, i installed all my software on Kingspec SSD and i stopped to freeze and disappear from Explorer. I have two thoughts, 1- Some PCIexpress/SATA bus incompatibility (windows too) or maybe 2- Some problem with power supply with all this components plugged (??!!!???!!) , probably not, but i cant think in another possibilityies.
