Shut machine off. Turn it back on and immediately press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 key. An erase everything factory reset menu should appear. After resetting, open Control Panel. Search 'restore point'. Click 'create a restore point' in left pane. Make sure System Protection is turned on just in case an update is causing the issue

    Hi @ShinraKusakabe,

    You've got virus or malware

Windows PCs are prone to be infected with virus or malicious software (also called Malware). When your Acer laptop is running extremely slow, it may be caused by malware running in the background — consuming too many system resources (CPU, memory, etc.)

Try switching to High Performance Power plan, if it's in Balanced Plan, you could also check whether you have Fast start-up enabled. Right click the battery icon in taskbar, click "Choose what the power buttons do", click "Change settings that are currently unavailable and check "Fast start-up.

    1. Close system tray programs.
    2. Stop programs running on startup.
    3. Delete unnecessary files.
    4. Find programs that eat up resources.
    5. Adjust your power options.
    6. Turn Windows features on or off.
    7. Run a disk cleanup.
    8. Defragment your hard drive.
