Hello everyone,

I bought my Acer Nitro 5 AN515-52 back in 2019, a year before the pandemic. It has served me well all these years. As of 2022, it has slowed down a bit. Maybe because I upgraded the OS to Windows 11. Anyway, I wanted to ask is whether it will be beneficial to Upgrade my RAM to 32GB directly from 8GB or will it be better if I install 1x16GB first and I can add the Second module later?I use this laptop for my university studies and projects. Since I am a graduate in Mass Communication, We also have to use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro for our course as well.

The laptop has a SSD and a HDD. The SSD is of 256GB while the HDD is 1TB. Can I replace the HDD and SSD  with 1TB SSDs?

The specifications of my system are:

Processor:Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8300H CPU @ 2.30GHz   2.30 GHz
System memory: 8.00 GB (7.85 GB usable)
Drive 1:Hynix
Type:SSD
Capacity:238.47 GB

Drive 2: WD
Type:HDD
Capacity:931.51GB
Graphics Cards: Intel UHD 630 & NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti

    Hi,
Download and install CPU-z, run it and check the specs of your current module in Memory tab and SPD tab, if you have a single  8GB module, buy another 8GB module with same specs and install, 16GB is more than enough in my opinion but if you insist you can increase memory up to 32GB.
As for the SSD upgrade, you can use a M.2 NVMe SSD 1TB to replace the current M.2 SSD but you don't have to change the 1TB HDD to a SSD because you are using it for storage and don't need a SSD for that purpose.

    Hi @Aranya07,

HDD is enough for the memory storage than SSD if you planned to upgrade the HDD you can upgrade it upto 2TB.
