Hi,

I see that my laptop can't charge when it is turned on. It automatically stops charging if the charge is above 40% . But when i shut down and charge the laptop , there's no such problem and i can charge to 100%. Pls tell me how to solve this problem. There's no problem with my battery ( acer care center told me the battery condition was good ). I did a bios update 5-6 days ago ( insyde software - available in windows optional update ) so i tried to set the bios settings to default but that didn't solve the problem. So please tell me , How can i solve this problem ?  It's been working fine till today morning but now this problem is driving me crazy.😖

I have asus aspire A515-56 with windows 11 and bios version 1.24 .

Please help me !!

Did you have this problem before you updated the BIOS?

No , there was no problem before i updated the BIOS, but the laptop worked well for 5 days after it was updated. I actually did that bios update to fix a bug.

    Hi @Rihan07,

    # Try to update the battery driver

    1. Hold windows key and hit letter X.
    2. Choose the device manager option.
    3. Go with the option battery.
    4. Under the title battery.
Update Battery Drivers in Windows EASILY - Driver Easy
    5. Right click on that option ----> Update all driver under the title battery.
    6. Choose "search automatically".

Check this T/S and post the result.
